Water Crescent

A hunting killer whale making beautiful art from its lethal tail weapon. The harmonious crescent of its tail almost forming a musical bass clef or the start of a Fibonacci curve.

Underneath the graceful arc, hidden in the spray below is a sea lion. This will be the sea lion's last hour of life. Around the orca are three other members of the pod, including a youngster learning the essence of the sea lion hunt.

When observing animals in the wild, we often observe that "nature isn't pretty." But sometimes too it is, even in the middle of a feeding.
